Responsibilities

He has a background in sociology and experience across both the public and private sectors. He has been working on EU transport projects since 2008. His interests are broad, spanning all transport modes — from rural and public transport to emerging concepts like hyperloop and urban air mobility. What connects them is his focus on making mobility more inclusive and grounded in people’s real needs. He has worked closely with cities and regions to help shape SUMPs that are socially responsive and sensitive to diversity, and has recently contributed to studies on rural mobility, improvement of transport infrastructure for all transport professionals, and tackling LGBTIQ+ discrimination in public transport, applying an intersectional lens to ensure dignity and security for all. As an islander by origin and now living in a sparsely populated area, he has a strong personal awareness of transport poverty — something that continues to fuel his motivation. He was also involved in the early stages of launching this European network of Ambassadors to promote diversity in transport, which he see as a key step toward long-term, structural change.
