The European Commission has launched a Strategic Dialogue with the European automotive industry, social partners and other key stakeholders on 30 January. This initiative underscores the Commission's commitment to safeguarding the future of a sector vital to European prosperity, while at the same time advancing its climate goals and broader societal objectives.

In response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the EU stands in solidarity with Ukraine. The EU is acting swiftly and decisively to put an end to Russia’s aggression by imposing wide-ranging sanctions and measures. Thanks to its continuously updated inventory of financing products, the Portal aims to improve access to financing for the shipping sector and the wider maritime industry, so as to foster a sustainable and competitive maritime sector.
