Description
Brussels Holiday Fair
(31 January - 4 February 2013)
The European Commission is participating in the Belgium’s largest tourist event to provide the public with information and answers on their passenger rights.
Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport will be present at the European Commission stand at the Salon des Vacances 2013. The passenger rights Team will be available to all visitors for the entire duration of the event to reply on any question about the EU passenger rights legislation. The event will take place at Brussels Expo, the Commission stand will be located at Palais 5.
Venue Address: Parc des Expositions de Bruxelles, Place de Belgique 1.
Moreover, on 31 January, Ms Flor Diaz Pulido, Deputy Head Unit at the European Commission, will give a conference: "Europe for all passengers" in the framework of the Brussels Travel Top, a day for travel professionals with workshops and conferences. The EU is the only part of the world where minimum standards for passenger rights have been set across all modes of transport: air, rail, waterborne and coach. The EU legal framework guarantees passengers uniform access conditions and minimum quality service levels. At the same time, this legislation contributes to the competitiveness of the European transport sector.
