Rail Passenger Security in the European Union
Albert Borschette Conference Center
Rue Froissart 36, Brussels
10 May 2016, 9:30 - 17:30
Ensuring the security of passengers and transport staff is a priority for the European Commission and the Member States of the European Union.
To this respect, the European Commission is organising on 10 May 2016 a Conference with experts of rail passenger security which aims to share ideas on rail security and stimulate discussion across the sector.
The event will seek to identify practices - whether policies, plans, procedures or tools - which will be shared during and after the meeting with security experts, railways undertakings, rail infrastructure managers as well as national authorities involved in railway security.
It will also provide elements which will be analysed in the context of the study launched by the Commission of possible future initiatives at European level for improving rail security.
Registration by 29 April 2016 : https://scic.ec.europa.eu/fmi/ezreg/RAILSECURITY2016 + confirm if you wish to attend the evening reception at 19:00 on 10th May at the Brasserie Express, Train World Brussels – hosted by the European Commission DG Mobility and Transport.
