The European Commission is conducting, in the framework of action 5.1 of the ITS Action Plan, a study entitled Assess the security and personal data protection aspects related to the handling of data in ITS applications and services and propose measures in full compliance with Community legislation.

This workshop aims at informing the stakeholders of preliminary results, collecting inputs from them and gathering their opinions on the key issues and possible options for improvement of personal data protection in the context of ITS.

The workshop includes:

1) a presentation and discussion of the preliminary results as presented in the Intermediate Report

2) discussion of key issues with stakeholders, including areas of improvement.
