Participatory conference on labour market developments and labour shortages in the transport sector in the European Union

As announced in its recent action plan to tackle labour and skills shortages, the European Commission will organise a participatory conference on 23 April 2024 to enable discussions with and between relevant stakeholders on labour market developments and labour shortages in the transport sector in the European Union.

The objective is to develop a shared understanding of the challenges, to exchange good practice examples and possibly issue recommendations on measures to address these challenges. A background paper will be provided to the participants ahead of the conference.

The hybrid conference will be held in English and is organised by COWI Belgium SPRL in collaboration with Panteia and on behalf of the European Commission, Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport.

If you wish to participate, please register before Friday, 12 April 2024.

Places are limited. Participation is only possible after confirmation by the organisers. We seek to have a balanced participation in terms of stakeholder groups, modes of transport, EU Member States, age and gender.
