Description
The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) is organising a Reality Check – a stakeholder consultation meeting – across all transport modes in the EU. Stakeholders in the aviation, maritime, inland waterway, road and rail sectors will be invited to discuss areas with high potential for simplification of existing administrative burdens originating from EU transport legislation under DG MOVE remit.
The meeting is organised in cooperation with an external consortium led by Ricardo including TIS, TRT, REPR and ISL and is closely linked to the Commission’s ongoing simplification agenda.
The agenda has two main objectives:
- To identify rules that may create unnecessary administrative burdens.
- To assess the possibilities for simplifying these rules.
The meeting will take place across two days. Industry representatives representing the Aviation, Maritime and Inland Navigation sectors will be hosted on 15 June, while those representing the Road and Rail sectors will be hosted on 16 June.
Please note that this event is by invitation only and not open for public registration.
