Jelmer Peter Born and raised in Amsterdam, he has been working at the City of Amsterdam for six years, including the past 4 years as Program Manager visitors economy. With an academic background in European Studies, and Heritage and Memory Studies, he brings a critical and interdisciplinary perspective to urban and cultural challenges.
In his current role, he collaborates closely with the Deputy Mayor and colleagues across various departments to improve livability and foster a more balanced and sustainable approach to tourism in his city.

In Amsterdam we have put 'balanced urban tourism' policies into practise. In a brief pitch I take you with me through urban challenges, regulations, local instruments and the complex policy making field that is tourism in 2025. Who holds tourism management power?
