Maiju Viiki is an Account Manager at Visit Tampere, where she leads the European Capital of Smart Tourism year. In addition, she drives the advancement of the local experience economy. Her work centers on developing innovative, sustainable, and data-driven tourism solutions in close collaboration with public and private stakeholders.
Previously, Ms. Viiki worked as Head of Experience Economy for the City of Tampere and at the local film commission. Ms. Viiki holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing a PhD on the experience economy from a place management perspective, combining academic research with practical destination development.
