Rail Baltic project takes a major step forward with the signature of three CEF Grant Agreements

Today, one of the top priority projects to bridge the missing links in the TEN-T, the Rail Baltic, made a decisive step forward in its implementation.

In Tallinn, representatives of INEA and DG MOVE handed over the signed Grant Agreements for three actions selected under the first CEF call of 2014 to the beneficiaries - the Joint Venture RB Rail AS, the Ministry of Transport of Lithuania and the Polish Rail infrastructure manager PKP PLK.

734 million Euros of EU co-funding will support the design, upgrade and building of several sections of the Rail Baltic/Rail Baltica line, which upon completion will link the Baltic States to Poland and thus improve connections in the internal market for businesses and citizens alike.
