WETAXI fosters the use of taxis by making the fare more convenient and competitive (reduced cost per passenger) and the service more transparent. WETAXI is both an on demand and pre-booked sharing service; it allows for the real time sharing of the ride on any route with no reservation fee. In addition, the service allows the user to know the exact maximum cost of the ride right from the start thanks to the fixed rate defined through quotes. This cost can only decrease if the ride is shared.
WETAXI is built on an already existing technology, Easymoove by Move Plus Ltd, and has been modified for use by taxi-sharing. Move Plus Ltd has already signed an agreement with the two taxi companies in Turin.
