The investigations are carried out in accordance with Estonian Aviation Act (RT I, 30.12.2011, 9), EU regulations and international treaties. This body performs its functions independently in compliance with Council Directive 94/56/EC reporting only to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications.
