The European Commission has established two high level groups to advise and develop proposals in two distinct areas of aviation policy:

  • The High Level Group on Aviation and Aeronautics Research is working to set out a new vision for the aviation sector by 2050. Its focus is on shifting from a supply-driven to a demand-driven approach.
  • The High Level Group on aviation regulation develops new proposals to simplify the regulatory framework, advises on the future evolution of EASA, Eurocontrol and the role of industry in air traffic management. It also provides a roadmap for reform and proposals to ensure successful stakeholder involvement.
