National Supervisory Authorities (NSAs) ensure the supervision of the regulatory framework in all Member States. They are responsible, in particular, for certifying and overseeing air navigation service providers as well as for the preparation of national performance plans of the Member States concerned.

The NSA Coordination Platform (NCP) was established at European level in 2009 in order for NSAs to meet and discuss issues pertinent to the SES. The exchange of good practices and the reinforcement of cooperation under the NCP has brought significant added value and supports SES implementation in the EU Members and associated States. Currently, in addition to plenary meetings, NSA experts under the NCP meet regularly in five Working Groups: Performance, Safety Oversight, Interoperability, SESAR Deployment and FABs.
