To support the transition to a cleaner, greener and smarter mobility in line with the European Green Deal and the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy, the Commission proposed to revise the TEN-T Regulation of 2013.

Nine core network corridors and two horizontal priorities were created to structure and support the completion of the trans-European transport network.

While the environmental, economic and connectivity benefits of completing the Trans-European Transport network (TEN-T) are immense, the procedures that this entails are quite complex, which has led to delays of TEN-T implementation, especially in the case of cross-border projects.

TENtec is the European Commission's information system set up to coordinate and support the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) policy.
