Responsibilities
Agustina Krapp is a sustainable transport consultant with a background in Civil Engineering (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina) and a Master’s in Urban Planning (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, United States). Originally from Argentina and currently based in Madrid, Spain, she brings international experience from Latin America, the United States, and Europe. She has collaborated with NGOs and currently works for a consulting company on research and consultancy projects, producing knowledge products, policy analyses, and capacity-building initiatives at the intersection of transport, equity, and climate change.
Agustina is interested in how inequitable policies have shaped transport systems and life opportunities, and in evidence-based analysis and proactive policy design to ensure that transport and climate actions advance social equity. While working for an NGO in the United States, she led the conceptualisation and analysis of transport equity criteria used by American Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) in their project prioritisation processes, identifying ways to strengthen them to deliver more meaningful benefits to historically underserved communities. The findings of this research were published by the Journal of the Transportation Research Board and also shared through the American Planning Association.
