Rita Prior Filipe

Rita graduated in Civil Engineering with a master’s degree in Transport Planning and Systems. Her master’s in research in Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems, obtained at the University of Bath, has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the production, deployment, and acceptance of Sustainable Propulsion Systems, including various technologies and alternative fuels.

Her motivation to develop and contribute to transport systems that are more sustainable and inclusive led her to pursue a PhD in Regional Mobility and Transport Systems, focused on assessing the feasibility of implementing different propulsion vehicles for passenger transport on a regional scale, including urban, suburban and rural areas. 

She is passionate about contributing to a mobility system supported by active and shared mobility while leaving no user behind, focusing on socioeconomic and geographic disparities.

Furthermore, she has been committed to contributing towards enhancing accessibility in the passenger transport sector through her ongoing work as part of the Ambassadors for #DiversityInTransport.
