Code of Conduct for integration and non-discrimination in the workplace

Code of Conduct for integration and non-discrimination in the workplace

by Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group

The Code of Conduct for integration and non-discrimination in the workplace, issued by Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, recommends steps to be taken by each employee of the Company to create a more inclusive and welcoming workplace, as well as a positive environment for everyone.

The Code focuses on four main aspects: no offensive images are allowed; no offensive language towards diversities is allowed; adequate and decent spaces must be guaranteed for all the personnel and in particular for the female population; personnel must act with the maximum collaboration and integration. Should there be situations of marginalisation, discrimination and isolation in these four areas, the Code requires the immediate intervention of managers to stifle the problem and rectify the situation.

To increase the impact of the Code and its dissemination to all workplaces, including industrial plants, a graphic version was created and widespread. Since 2018, this graphic version of the Code is posted everywhere. The social Intranet and the Diversity and Inclusion training events -directed at all employees- also regularly refer to the Code.

The internal communication team has also conducted a specific campaign to promote the Code, drawing again the attention of all employees to each of the topics covered.
