The 8th EU-Singapore Transport Dialogue took place today in Singapore. Co-chaired by the European Commission's Director-General for Mobility and Transport, Magda Kopczyńska, and the Permanent Secretary for Transport of the Ministry of Transport of Singapore, Lau Peet Meng, discussions revolved around bilateral technical cooperation across all transport modes and the global challenges to international transport. The EU and Singapore share a strong decarbonisation ambition, and a common determination in upholding international transport law. Both sides committed to continue enhancing connectivity and working towards safer and more secure transport systems.
As part of her mission to Singapore, Director-General Kopczyńska also visited Singapore Maritime Week and met Singapore's Senior Minister of State for Transport and Sustainability and the Environment, Dr Amy Khor, as well as with the Chief Executive of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, Mr Teo Eng Dih, and the Director-General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, Mr Han Kok Juan.
