In the wake of the adoption of the new Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR), the European Commission has set up three new sub-groups under the Sustainable Transport Forum (STF) expert group:
These new STF sub-groups will address outstanding questions on the roll-out and interoperability of recharging and refuelling infrastructure for alternative fuels, and discuss market development state of play.
The Director-General of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport has appointed members to the new sub-groups, after assessment of the applications received. Information on the appointments is available via the links below:
- Sub-group on hydrogen refuelling infrastructure for road transport vehicles;
- Sub-group on zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles;
- Sub-group on European Union (EU) e-mobility public key infrastructure (PKI) ecosystem management.
The new sub-groups will start work in the coming weeks. With these new sub-groups, the Commission intends the STF to remain the reference platform at Union level for public-private exchange, and advice to the Commission, on all matters related to the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure.
