This Group was created in March 2013 to facilitate the active cooperation of national rail regulatory bodies and information exchange between these bodies.
The Group’s tasks are :
- to exchange information about their work and decision-making principles and practices and, in particular, exchange information on the main issues of their procedures and on the problems of interpreting transposed Union railway law,
- to participate and work together in a network for the purpose of coordinating their decision-making across the Union,
- to develop common principles and practices for making the decisions for which they are empowered under Directive 2012/34/EU, and
- to adopt reports/and or recommendations expressing the views of the members on specific issues, in particular on common principles and practices of their decision-making.
