Responsibilities
Agne Vaitekenaite is a Vilnius - born Brussels-based changemaker who, after completing a Master’s in International Journalism at the University of Leeds, has spent the past decade building an international career at the intersection of policy, innovation, inclusion, and public private partnerships across Brussels, Lithuania, the UK, and the United States. Her professional path includes roles in international cooperation, EU affairs, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement, complemented by executive leadership development at Harvard University, USA.
As Head of Advocacy and Partnership at ERTICO – ITS Europe, Agne leads advocacy and partnership strategies, manages a multicultural team, and convenes cross sector coalitions to advance inclusive mobility. She regularly speaks at major conferences, moderates high level panels, and hosts the podcast Connecting Dots & Talks to inform and empower practitioners and policymakers. Prior her current role, Agne worked at the European Parliament, General Secretariat, where was contributing to the initiatives led by the former European Parliament’s Vice-President Mairead McGuinness.
Agne also advocates for gender responsive policy across the EU transport sector. She leverages her policy experience and cross-sector networks to convene stakeholders, amplify best practices, and help translate high level commitments into concrete actions that improve representation, safety, and accessibility for women and other underrepresented groups in transportation.
She is also part the Professional Women International, where she leads initiative to inform and empower other women to lead, and advocate for gender equity in leadership.
Agne is committed to amplifying voices and reshaping transport systems across Europe to better serve women and underserved communities.
