Equality, diversity and inclusion are major priorities for the European Commission. The Commission will apply equality mainstreaming to its transport related policy initiatives and continue to support stakeholder cooperation and exchange of good practices on the ‘More Women in Transport – Platform for Change’, to help increase the number of women in transport professions. It will also raise awareness on equality issues through a network of Diversity Ambassadors in Transport. Any initiatives in transport will be compliant with the Commission’s Gender Equality Strategy and Disability Strategy.
European Commission encourages women to work in the transport sector
To achieve the objectives of the European Green Deal, the EU's Digital Agenda, and the Union of Equality, the European Commission has committed to integrating an equality dimension into its initiatives in all policy areas.
