Stakeholder seminar in the framework of the study Effective reduction of noise generated by rail freight wagons in the European Union

The European Commission has recently launched an impact assessment support study "Effective reduction of noise generated by railway freight wagons in use in the European Union".

An important part of this process is a public and stakeholder consultation. This public consultation, to which you are invited to take part, was launched on 12 July and will last until 3 October 2013.

In the framework of the consultation process the Commission has decided to organise a stakeholder seminar, in order to:

• present and corroborate preliminary findings of the consultation;
• bring together the most interested stakeholders from the sector and Member States;
• gather additional information for the study.

Registrations should be sent by e-mail to Gianvittorio [dot] TAVOLA1ec [dot] europa [dot] eu (Gianvittorio[dot]TAVOLA1[at]ec[dot]europa[dot]eu) before 5 September 2013. For security and capacity reasons access to the workshop will not be possible without prior registration.
