Clean, competitive and connected mobility on the agenda of tomorrow's Transport Council

Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc will represent the European Commission at the meeting of the 28 EU Transport Ministers held tomorrow in Brussels. The Ministers will discuss a number of important files recently put forward by the Commission.

This includes the "Europe on the Move" initiatives of 31 May whose objectives are to improve the functioning of the road haulage market, enhance social and employment conditions and encourage smart road-charging in the EU.

Another item on the agenda is the Commission's proposal to safeguard competition in air transport. Its aim is to ensure that airlines can compete on the basis of equal opportunities, and European connectivity can be safeguarded. Commissioner Bulc will also present to Ministers the actions taken by the Commission on 8 November to reinforce Europe's leadership in clean mobility.

More information is available on the website of the Council.
