The European Commission has today endorsed Malta's Social Climate Plan – the fourth national plan adopted under the Social Climate Fund using revenues from carbon pricing to ensure a fair and inclusive clean transition.
This is the third national plan approved under the new Social Climate Fund. Using carbon pricing revenues, the Fund ensures a fair and inclusive clean transition for vulnerable citizens and businesses.
The Commission launched the 2026 call for proposals under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), making €1.1 billion available to build and modernise transport infrastructure on the EU's trans-European transport network (TEN-T), as well as in Ukraine and Moldova.
