Legal basis

The investigation of accidents and incidents in civil aviation in Germany is based on the Law Relating to the Investigation into Accidents and Incidents Associated with the Operation of Civil Aircraft, dated August 26th, 1998. This Law is harmonised with the Annex 13 to the ICAO convention and Regulation (EU) No 996/2010.
