Solidaritätskorridore EU–Ukraine
Aufgrund von Russlands willkürlicher Invasion und der Blockade ukrainischer Seehäfen konnte die Ukraine ihre Erzeugnisse nicht über die üblichen Routen in die Welt exportieren. Die weltweite Ernährungssicherheit war in Gefahr – alternative Routen waren daher dringend gefragt.
Die EU zeigt sich solidarisch mit der Ukraine, unter anderem in Form eines Aktionsplans der Kommission für Solidaritätskorridore zur Warenausfuhr über Schiene, Straße und Wasser. Seit August ermöglicht die Schwarzmeer-Getreide-Initiative der Vereinten Nationen zusätzliche Getreideausfuhren über Seerouten.
Die Solidaritätskorridore zwischen der EU und der Ukraine sind für die ukrainische Wirtschaft mittlerweile lebenswichtig. Sie ermöglichen Getreideausfuhren und sind derzeit auch die einzige Möglichkeit, nichtlandwirtschaftliche Waren aus der Ukraine in die übrige Welt zu exportieren und dringend benötigte Waren wie Treibstoff und Hilfsgüter zu importieren.
